The purpose of the Christian Online Film Festival (COLFF) is to showcase in an online format Christian movies, music videos, cartoons, documentaries, educational films, music videos, songs, pictures, and scripts, recognize the people who made them happen, and encourage others to make more!

We only select and recognize God-honoring, family-friendly films and scripts, and we treat each entry like it was our own! We know that you have worked hard on your project, investing considerable time and resources, so we do not take our mission lightly!

Founded in 2010 by award-winning author and producer Richard Collins, the Christian Film Festival (CFF) quickly became one of the most popular festivals on the Christian film festival circuit.  In order to accommodate those who do not wish to travel to an awards ceremony, Rich created the Christian Online Film Festival.  COLFF has become one of the most popular events on the national film festival calendar for Christian producers, writers and music creators. Over the years, we have screened hundreds of films and have been ranked in the top 100 film festivals (out of over 6,000) by Film Freeway with approximately 100 positive reviews!

COLFF is a monthly festival with created for those who wish to have their work recognized but do not wish to travel.  Winners collect their laurels and awards certificates digitally and by email. Winners may also share their work on our Facebook page.

There are two levels of awards:  SELECTED means your work is included in the festival. AWARD WINNER means that your work won in its category or in a category determined by the judges.  If you wish to have links to your work shared on our Facebook page, you will be free to comment on the post with your link when we post the awards.

Digital Award Laurels are available for all award winners: Winners may generate their laurels on Film Freeway. We will also post your award to our Facebook page and can tag you on Facebook if you follow our page. The categories are best feature film (45 minutes and over), best short film (15-44 minutes), best mini film (less than 15 minutes), best animated film/cartoon, student, documentary, educational, foreign film, music video, advertisement, song, soundtrack/score, script, best director, best producer, best female lead and supporting actor, best male lead and supporting actor, best teen lead and supporting actress, best teen and supporting actor, best child lead and supporting actress, best child lead and supporting actor, best soundtrack/score/song, and best web series. You are also free to post to your own IMDB page.

2. Digital Award Certificates will also be emailed to all award winners

Please note that two films could have a BEST ACTRESS award, etc. We do not categorize these.

Once you you upload your project to Film Freeway, you can easily enter COLFF! If you own or have produced a Christian movie, cartoon, script, educational film, student film, advertisement, documentary, song, soundtrack/score, or music video, and own the rights to it, new or old, shown or not previously shown, you may enter.  The Film Freeway process is easy and straightforward.

Entering the COLFF means you agree with the following terms: There is no guarantee of any award, and the decision of the judges is final. Some entries may be delayed to a later festival to provide sufficient time for review. If we have too many entries one month, your film or music may be moved to a later monthly festival.

Please note: the COLFF is a family-friendly festival. If there is cursing, nudity, gore, or any material that cannot be viewed by children, your movie will not be selected. You will be informed and may be given the option to change curse words or remove inappropriate scenes, but there will be no refunds. The decision of the judges on appropriateness of materials is final, and inappropriate work may be "not selected" or "disqualified." Entry into the contest means acceptance of these rules.

In early 2026, Richard Collins handed the baton of leadership to award-winning producer, songwriter, vocalist and worship leader Helena Yeaman. Helena is excited to carry out the mission of encouraging those who have put feet to their faith by producing and sharing God-honoring works of film, word and song.
